Books

Emmaus Road Ministries develops books and study resources to help Christians grow into a mature, whole-life faith.

These resources are written to help believers think more carefully about the Christian life, understand the world through the biblical story, and live faithfully within the realities of everyday life.

Losing the World We Were Meant to Restore

Recovering a Biblical Vision for the Whole of Life

What happens when Christian faith becomes separated from the rest of life?

Losing the World We Were Meant to Restore explores how Christians can come to think of faith mainly in terms of church, personal morality, and spiritual activities while leaving much of everyday life to be understood through other ways of thinking.

The book calls believers back to a fuller biblical vision in which creation, work, relationships, culture, responsibility, and the world around us all belong within the Christian story.

It is the first volume in the Learning to Live Christianly series.

Living an Undivided Faith

A Biblical Worldview for Everyday Life

Christian discipleship is meant to shape more than what we believe on Sunday. It is meant to shape the way we understand and live the whole of life.

Living an Undivided Faith is a practical study resource designed for personal study, small groups, mentoring, and church settings. It helps Zambian believers examine the ways Christian faith connects with everyday decisions, relationships, responsibilities, work, and the world around them based on the lived experiences of Zambians.

The goal is not simply to know more about Christianity, but to grow toward a faith that is increasingly integrated, mature, and faithfully lived.

Learning to Live Christianly

A Series for the African Church

Learning to Live Christianly is a planned, four-book series to be written for African believers who trust the Bible and love the Church, yet sense that Christian faith must speak more fully to the whole of life.

Written from within Africa and shaped by decades of ministry on the continent, the series is concerned less with programs or techniques than with formation. It asks how the full biblical story can shape the way Christians see reality, live together as the people of God, and engage faithfully with the world around them.

The four volumes will follow a deliberate progression and Vol. 2 is currently being written.
